What is Mindfulness?
Mindfulness is a practice that involves cultivating a state of active, non-judgmental awareness in the present moment. It encourages individuals to be fully present, acknowledging their thoughts, emotions, and sensations without becoming overwhelmed or attached to them.
By developing mindfulness skills, participants can enhance their well-being, reduce stress, and improve their ability to focus and make thoughtful decisions.
Our Approach
In schools, we believe that mindfulness is a valuable tool that can benefit everyone, regardless of age or background. Our training program is designed to introduce faculty and upper school students to the principles and practices of mindfulness in a supportive and engaging manner.
Key Learning Objectives
1. Cultivating Awareness
Participants will learn techniques to become more aware of their thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations. They will develop the ability to observe these experiences without judgment, creating space for greater self-reflection and understanding.
